The Story You Can't See

The Story You Can't See

Good Morning All – I hope you had an amazing weekend! As always, I like to start the week off right with some words of motivation or inspiration:

"It Is Not The Load That Breaks You Down, It Is The Way You Carry It." — Lou Holtz

Everyone we meet is carrying something. For some of us it's visible -- for others, it's completely hidden.

Someone may be grieving the loss of a loved one while still showing up to work each day. Another may be lying awake at night wondering how they'll pay their bills. A parent may be quietly carrying the responsibility of holding a family together. A friend may be fighting a battle they've never told anyone about.

We rarely know the full story behind someone's appearance.

  • That's why kindness matters.

  • That's why patience matters.

  • That's why compassion matters.

None of us escape hardship. Sooner or later, life places a weight on every set of shoulders. The question isn't whether we'll face difficult seasons—it's who we'll become because of them.

When we're young, we often think strength means never struggling, never doubting, and never feeling overwhelmed. Time has a way of teaching otherwise.

Real strength is found in those who refuse to let burdens determine character.

  • Choosing integrity over bitterness

  • Choosing compassion over being cynical.

  • Choosing hope over doubt.

Maybe that's what Lou Holtz meant -- the weight we carry can test us, but it doesn't have to define us. Every day, we have the opportunity to decide whether our struggles will make us bitter and resentful -- or create wisdom, resilience and compassion.

This week can remind us to be gentler with one another AND with ourselves. We never know what someone else is carrying, and we always have a choice in how we carry our own.

Have a great week!

Sincerely, Your Realtor Denis Hrstic
