A Negative Mind Will Never Give You A Positive Life

Good Morning All – I hope you had an amazing weekend! As always, I like to start the week off right with some words of motivation or inspiration:

A Negative Mind Will Never Give You A Positive Life

There is a common criticism that comes up whenever people talk about having a positive mindset — some people say being positive is fake or unrealistic — that this ignores the real problems of life.

But that is not what Being Positive is.

Being positive does not mean pretending we have no problems. It does not mean denying reality. It does not mean acting like everything is easy when clearly it is not.

Being Positive is a choice in how we respond.

It is deciding that we are not going to let every problem poison our attitude. It is refusing to let disappointment turn us into bitter people. It is choosing not to complain our way through life and then wonder why everything feels heavy and terrible.

The reality is the opposite is guaranteed: a negative mind will always find something negative.

If you look for problems, you will find them.
If you look for reasons to complain, you will find them.
If you look for reasons to give up, you will find them.
If you look for reasons to be miserable, you will find those too.

Negativity has a way of becoming a filter. Once you see life through it, everything starts to look worse. Small issues become big issues. Temporary setbacks feel permanent. Other people’s mistakes become personal attacks. Opportunities start looking like risks, and blessings start looking like burdens.

That is why our mindset matters.

A positive attitude does not remove problems from our lives, but it changes how we carry them. It gives us room to think and act, and move forward instead of staying stuck — this applies to everything: life, business, relationships, and even real estate.

There will always be challenges. Markets change. Plans shift. Deals get complicated. Life throws curveballs.

But walking into every situation with a negative, downcast, complaining mindset does not make us more realistic. It just makes everything harder.

A better mindset will not solve everything overnight, but it will help you see more clearly, respond better, and find opportunities you may have missed while focusing only on the problems.

Something to think about this week - what attitude are you choosing?

Have a great week!

Sincerely, Your Realtor Denis Hrstic

You Don’t Know Everything — And That’s Okay

Good Morning All – I hope you had an amazing weekend! As always, I like to start the week off right with some words of motivation or inspiration:

Be Teachable. You Don't Know Everything, And You're Not Always Right.

One of the biggest traps in life is thinking we already know enough.

The truth is, the most successful people are not the ones who pretend to have all the answers. They are the ones who stay open, remain humble, and are always willing to learn. Being teachable does not make us weak — it makes us wise.

It means we are confident enough to grow, strong enough to listen, and mature enough to admit when there is a better way.

Growth begins when our ego ends.

There is always something to learn from a conversation, a setback, a different perspective, or even a mistake. The moment we think we know it all is when we stop improving.

This week, challenge yourself to listen more, assume less, and stay open to learning from people, situations, and experiences around you.

Have a great week!

Sincerely, Your Realtor Denis Hrstic

Burn That Bridge

A common misunderstood idea is the phrase “burning bridges.” Most of us immediately think it means anger, conflict, or destroying relationships.

But it doesn't need to mean this. Sometimes burning a bridge simply means making the decision not to go back to anything that is not helping us.

The truth is — some paths only lead us in circles, and real growth often begins the moment we decide we are done with them.

Sometimes the bridge we need to burn isn’t physical at all. It’s the mental bridge that keeps pulling us back to:

  • toxic relationships

  • negative thinking

  • destructive habits

  • limiting beliefs

  • or a life direction that no longer fits who we are

The moment we truly let go of these things, something powerful happens.

We stop looking backward and living in the past. For the first time, our energy is fully focused on the road ahead -- that’s where real progress begins.

Every meaningful change in our lives begins with a decision — the decision to move forward without keeping one foot buried in the past.

What kind of bridges do you need to burn ?

Sincerely,

Be Proud Of Yourself

Good Morning All – I hope you had an amazing weekend!

As always, I like to start the week off right with some words of motivation:

Be Proud Of Yourself For How Hard You’re Trying.

We live in a results-driven world, but real growth happens long before the results show up. It happens in the habits you’re forming, the discipline you’re building, and the choices you’re making when no one is watching.

Trying isn’t weakness—it’s proof you haven’t quit. Every goal worth achieving—personal, financial, or life-changing—is based your effort and persistence.

Honor the work you’re putting in. It matters more than you realize.

Sincerely,

Any Distractions?

Good Morning All – I hope you had an amazing weekend!

As always, I like to start the week off right with some words of motivation:

"If You Don’t Separate Yourself From Your Distractions, Your Distractions Will Separate You From Your Goals And The Life You Want."

Distractions are not always obvious. Most of the time, they look like comfort, routine, or harmless habits. But over time, they quietly create distance between where we are — and where we want to be.

Whether it’s personal growth, financial stability, better health, or greater freedom, every meaningful life choice is shaped by one thing above all else: focus.

Success doesn’t require perfection. It requires intentional choices, repeated daily.

Ask yourself this week:

  • What am I giving my time to that isn’t giving me progress back?

  • What would happen if I protected my focus the same way I protect something I value?

The life you want isn’t built in one big decision — it’s built in small, consistent ones.

Sincerely,

Habits Create Outcomes

Good Morning All – I hope you had an amazing weekend!

As always, I like to start the week off right with some words of motivation:

“First We Make Our Habits, Then Our Habits Make Us.” — John Dryden

Most habits don’t form intentionally — they form through repetition. That’s why the first step toward improvement isn’t motivation, discipline, or a new system. It’s awareness.

Take a look at your current habits:

  • How you structure your time

  • How you react to challenges

  • How you prioritize tasks

Once you clearly see what’s happening, you can decide what deserves more focus.

This week, choose one habit to strengthen OR one habit to remove.

Just one.

Consistency over time will do the rest.

Sincerely,
